Dr. Pat Connick


Dr. Pat Connick, CCFP, FCFP, DMTH, PGDIP,  is a clinical lecturer in the Department of Family Medicine, Cumming School of Medicine at the University of Calgary. She also works as a family physician at the Calgary Refugee Health Centre,  and at the Mosaic Women’s Health Clinic (with the Lougheed Maternity Group). In all of these settings, she provides teaching to medical students and family medicine residents. Dr. Connick has a Diploma in Practical Dermatology (PGDIP), from Cardiff University.

For over twenty years Dr. Connick has been providing family based primary care to the Calgary area.  She has a special interest in global health. She obtained her Diploma in Tropical Medicine (DMTH) in Lima, Peru in 2007. She is also a Red Cross delegate and has been on several emergency response missions with the Red Cross. Her most recent mission with the Red Cross was to Nepal following the recent earthquake. She is specifically interested in how to manage and/or prevent skin diseases in a resource limited setting.

Dr. Connick’s current focus is maintaining the high medical standard of care at the Vive® Rejuvenation Clinic. Her training in Practical Dermatology has given her the opportunity to gain expertise in the management of patients with skin conditions. She is accepting new patients with skin related conditions, and specializes in acne management. Visits to Dr. Connick are covered by Alberta Health Care. She welcomes clients who have undiagnosed skin problems to see her at the clinic. If necessary, Dr. Connick will generate a referral to a dermatologist for diagnostic or management assistance.
